Travel, Tourism & Parking

Buses serving Galway’s city centre:

Galway can be reached easily via the N4/M4 Dublin, N18 Limerick, M17 to Mayo/Sligo/Donegal and Cork & the south from the N7.
Galway Train station has routes across the country to Dublin, Limerick, Sligo, Cork and Kerry.

Galway Airport is only 15 minutes drive from Eyre Square, whilst Shannon International Airport is an hour away.

The central bus and railway stations are 3 minutes’ walk from the hotel. The taxi rank is just outside the door and all main bus routes leave from Eyre Square.

Car Parking:

The Imperial Hotel Galway are delighted to offer a multi-visit parking ticket to their guests during their stay with us. This ticket can be purchased at a discounted price at our partner Q-Park Hynes Yard

* Please note that parking is available at the local Hynes Yard Q-Park, not onsite. To receive discounted parking, we kindly ask guests not to prebook. Instead, please take a parking ticket upon entry at the Q-Park and bring it to the Imperial Hotel Reception for validation during check-in or check-out. This will ensure you receive the discounted rate. Thank you for your cooperation!

Bedroom Services

Adaptors

Adaptors are available in the vending machines, located on the ground and lower ground floors. Guests from the US and Canada will need to purchase voltage converters.

Arrival/ Departure:

Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is before 11am.

Cots

Cots are available upon request from reception.

Do Not Disturb

Please place the Do Not Disturb hanger on your bedroom door should you prefer not to be disturbed by housekeeping. You must remove the Do Not Disturb sign and leave your room should you require housekeeping service.  

Hairdryer

A hairdryer is available in the top drawer of the vanity desk.

Ironing

An iron and ironing board are located in the wardrobe.

Key Cards

Please do not leave your room card in the door at any time, and please ensure that your room door is always closed.

Tea/Coffee Facilities

Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available in your room, with biscuits.

Toiletries

A range of optional toiletries are provided in your room. More can be purchased from the vending machines located on the ground and lower ground floors.

Towels and Blankets

Extra towels, facecloths, pillows and blankets are available on request from reception.

Hotel and Miscellaneous Services

Free Wi-Fi:

Available in your bedroom and throughout the hotel. Password: Imperial123

Defibrillator:

The hotel has a defibrillator located at reception. In the event of an emergency, please dial ‘0’ for reception, where our a member of our first aid team can assist you. 

Doctor:

Should you require the services of a doctor, please dial ‘0’ for reception and one of our team will contact a doctor on your behalf.  

Fire Safety:

The hotel has an automatic fire detection system with smoke detectors and alarms. Please familiarise yourself with the notice on the back of your bedroom door. The assembly point is opposite Eyre Square.

Smoker’s Corner:

This is located in the on the first floor of the hotel, please ask reception for directions.

Safe Deposit Box:

Available in your bedroom. Cash and valuables should be stored in the safe.

Hotel Food & Beverage Services

  • Breakfast:

    Monday – Friday will be from 7:30-10:30.

    Saturday & Sunday will still be from 7:30 – 11:00

  • Carvery: 12 pm – 2.45 pm in 1810 Bar & Restaurant
  • All-day dining menu: 12 pm – 9 pm in 1810 Bar & Restaurant
    Please dial ‘0’ to make a reservation for dinner.
